CYCLONE (BELGIUM)

Vilvoorde based Thrashers Metallers released the 1985 demo 'In The Grip Of Evil' following a name change from CENTURION. CYCLONE's debut gigs came as a support to ACID in 1984. Gigs with Germany's DESTRUCTION led to the inclusion of two tracks on the Roadrunner compilation 'Metal Race' alongside IRON GREY, EXPLORER and LIGHTNING FIRE. Membership changes in the band's history would see the departure of erstwhile TROUBLE AGENCY guitarist Pascal Van Lint, the CHANNEL ZERO credited Xavier Carion, also on guitar, and drummer Nicolas Lairio. The Roadrunner label released the debut album 'Brutal Destruction' in 1986, the band following this with the poorly distributed, Eric Grief produced 'Inferior To None' in 1990 for Justice Records. The final CYCLONE line-up would comprise singer Guido Gevels, the guitar pairing of Stefan Daamen and D. Kapelle, bassist G. Vanoverloop and drummer G. Langhendries.
