DEMONOMACY (USA/FL)

Demonomacy, the female quartet formed by Dana Cosley (rhythm guitar and vocals), Jamie Avery (guitar solo), Lisa Antoniotti (drums) and Robin Mazen (bass and vocals) was formed in 1991 from Miami. That same year they went to record at the legendary Morrisound their first demo, containing four tracks of their own primitive death metal. The demo made them to be know, and opened the doors to local concerts and festivals the likes of Milwaukee Metal Fest, where they shared the bill with Obituary, Cannibal Corpse and Deicide, receiving good reviews from the press. Things were going fine, but the second demo “Chaos Incarnate”, published in 1992, continued without having a broad impact and didn’t provide a record deal. The history repeats itself: there is no contract, there is no band. Demonomacy disbanded in 1993, with Robin Mazen leading her steps toward Ipure and Dana Cosley singing in Cynic’s tour in 1994.
