GOREMENT (SWEDEN)

Nyköping Death Metal combo created in 1990 out of the ashes of a thrash band called, Sanguinary. Original singer Mikael Bergström would be superseded by Jimmy Karlsson. GOREMENT's debut would be with the 1991 demo cassette 'Human Relic', followed up that same April by the 'Obsequies' session. In November the After World label issued the 'Obsequies' material as a 7" single. Switching to the notorious Poserslaughter Records GOREMENT put out the 1992 single 'Into Shadows'. Crypta Records took the band on for the solitary album 'The Ending Quest'. Gorement split-up, but continued as Pipers Dawn with a new (female) singer and a new drummer. They did a demo CD in 1996.
