MEFISTO (SWEDEN)

MEFISTO, a Stockholm blasphemous Thrash Metal act established during 1984 under the initial name TORMENT, issued the 'Megalomania' demo in May 1986 and a self-titled demo the following November. The band comprised a trio of vocalist / bassist Sandro Cajander, guitarist Omar Ahmed and drummer Robben "Thörd" Granath. A compilation of archive tracks from 'Megalomania' and 'The Puzzle' sessions, dubbed 'The Truth', emerged in 1999 on Blooddawn Records, the imprint owned by Morgan Håkansson of MARDUK, as a limited edition of 500 copies.
