NIFELHEIM (SWEDEN)

Färgelanda Teen Satanists NIFELHEIM, centred on twins bassist Tyrant Bestial Holocaust (a.k.a. Erik Gustavsson) and vocalist Hellbutcher Deathvomit (Pelle Gustavsson), came together in 1990, issuing the demo 'Unholy Death' in early 1993. Shortly after guitarist Morbid Slaughter departed. Drummer Demon Pounding Devestator is in fact Martin Axenrot, a scene veteran of SATANIC SLAUGHTER, BLASPHEMOUS, COVEN, BLOODBATH, WITCHERY, MORGUE and TRIUMPHATOR. The debut 1995 album features guest guitar contributions from DISSECTION's Jon Nödveidt and ex-DISSECTION guitarist Jon Zwetsloot.

UNHOLY DEATH 1993 DEMO

Xeroxed covers. They sold and made copies themselves. We also made copies of the booklet ourselves and cut them out. We got so many orders that we decided to buy a batch of black tapes. When that batch was gone, we just continued to use other tapes. Therefore, it's hard to say if a demo is an original or not. The black tapes usually had an 'X'-mark on one side which was made with a knife to show on which side the music was.The lineup shown on the demo says Tyrant, Hellbutcher and Morbid Slaughter, but that is actually Demon. Morbid Slaughter didn't play on the demo. Demon and Tyrant played all the guitars parts. First, we put a question mark where his picture should have been. Afterwards, we thought that maybe we should mention him, so we put his name there. Demon also did the drum parts.
