OSSUARY (USA/PA)

Ossuary, a brutal underground death metal band from northeastern Pennsylvania was formed in 1990 by Jesse Nelson, Nick Metzgar and a hand full of other, dedicated to their music, metal heads. The band was the first of it's kind in the small coal town of Wilkes-Barre which gained extreme recognition overseas in the European metal music markets. Ossuary was later headed by Eric Armusik who took the band a huge step further, becoming one of, if not the largest underground band that Pennsylvania has ever had. Label interests, hundreds of show dates, records, demos, merchandise, strong fan base, band line up changes and making the most brutal music ever heard with unheard of detuned guitars, thundering drums, solid groove bass lines and layering the vocalization of 3 singers, made Ossuary a band few counterparts could only dream of doing by using vocal processors and harmonizers. With no management and conflicting interests in the band members directions, Ossuary would eventually get too big for their members to handle which would lead to a breakup and end of the group.
