PHANTASM (USA/CA)

Phantasm was a Los Angeles based speed / thrash metal band that existed around 1986-1987. The band featured musicians who had earlier on played with bands like Hirax, Metallica and Dark Angel. Vocalist Katon W. DePena and bassist Ron McGovney had played together in bands before. They recorded a six song demo and broke up just before they got signed. In 2001 Deep Six Records released the "Wreckage" cd and vinyl which featured the demo tracks plus live tracks from a show in Arizona with Nuclear Assault.
