SEANCE (SWEDEN)

SÉANCE came into being from two Linköping acts ORCHRISTE, featuring singer Johan Larsson and guitarist Patrick Jensen, and TOTAL DEATH in 1990. The band name SÉANCE came from an ORCHRISTE song title. December 1990 saw the first SÉANCE gig, with the Swedes playing alongside MERCILESS and TOXAEMIA. The group's first demo, 'Levitised Spirit', was released in August 1991 and gained the band a deal with Black Mark Records who released their debut album (notice the spelling) Fornever Laid to Rest (not FOREVER, Ive seen this so many times).
