SOLSTICE (USA/FL)

South Florida Thrash Metal band formed in 1990. Issuing one demo in 1991. SOLSTICE's eponymous 1992 debut album, released by the German Steamhammer label, featured a line-up of frontman Rob Barrett, guitarist Dennis Munoz, bassist Dave Smith and HELLWITCH, ANGER and DEMOLITION HAMMER credited drummer Alex Marquez. Renowned guitarist JAMES MURPHY would make his presence felt on session lead guitar. Both Barrett and Marquez would team up with premier Death Metal band MALEVOLENT CREATION during 1992. In 1994 Munoz and Marquez played with Hardcore band ANGER. Barrett would also serve time in Cannibal Corpse.
