SOPHISTES (POLAND)

Sophistes came into existence when the only genre of extreme music was the mighty Death Metal. That was when Olo, inspired by the power of this music decided to contribute to the development of it, by setting his own horde. After few long years of shitty experiences with many local "musicians", he came across the second guitar player Michal for whom playing was the only source of excitement. With this man Olo was seeking the rhythm section. Then, friends from Cicatrix gave a helpful hand. They decided to give up their grind side project Nuclear Wind and "borrow" their drummer Slawek. This man, after a year, managed to find a bass guitar player Dlugi, previous frontman of long dead Sarcasm. After many months of fruitful rehearsing they decided to enter Manek studio in Sanok, Poland (February'99) and record their first demo.
