SUICIDAL WINDS (SWEDEN)

SUICIDAL WINDS as a band name and concept is born in 1992 through Peter and Mathias former band KRISTOS MORTIS. In 1994, the reh/demo "The Road To..." is spread in rather small extent due to the extremely primitive nature of this tape. Suicidal Winds records a new reh/demo called "Massacre" in 1996. Introducing the new bassist Andreas Ström. It includes six own songs and two HELLHAMMER covers. A Third demo "Aggression" is recorded with new drummer Martin Hogebrandt. in 1997. It consists of five songs, one of them a cover of SEPULTURA’s classic "Antichrist". Fourth demo "Definitely War" is also recorded but isn’t released until May 1998. Late in 1998 the band comes in contact with German label No Colours Records which results in a two album deal. The debut album "Winds of Death"is recorded with producer Robert Bengtsson (GRIEF OF EMERALD), who later came to produce all of their full-lengths. Both an LP and CD version is released in 1999.

THE ROAD TO... 1994 DEMO

This the first demo of Suicidal Winds was only with the two original members RRÖAARR (Mattias)- Drums and Vocals and AARGH (Peter)- Guitars. Has 4 tracks named but none of them is correct. They skipped the original songs and put 6 other improvised songs there instead without titles. Xeroxed covers. Hand-numbered on the inlay. The MASTER cover was in color. 20-30 copies were made for fanzines

On this release the members used silly nicknames. Peter played guitar and called himself "Aargh". Mattias on drums and vocals with the name Rrööaarr. Bass played by Andreas called "Sviiin". Xeroxed covers. 30 copies made
