TRIBULATION (SWEDEN)

Surahammar Thrash Metal band formed in the mid 80s as PENTAGRAM by Toza (a.k.a. Mikael Tossavainen) on vocals and guitar, Stefan Neuman on second guitar, Daniel Hojas on bass and Magnus Forsberg on the drums. A demo, 'Pyretic Convulsions', emerged in March 1988 with the 'Void Of Compassion' then the band had their track 'Belicose Nations' on the compilation album 'Hardcore For The Masses - The Core Of Sweden'. The 'Posers In Love' session, recorded at Musikstugan Studios, arriving in December 1990. TRIBULATION's first commercially available recording, 'Is This Heavy Or What?', was a joint EP shared with ATROCITY, DAMIEN and GRAVITY. The group since released two albums through Black Mark, starting with February 1992's 'Clown Of Thorns', the vinyl version of which hosted an extrack track entitled 'Dogmother'. The 1993 demo 'Oil Up The Stud', followed by on Burning Heart, 1995's 'Spicy'. The band folded that same year.
