TORMENTO (COLOMBIA)

TORMENTO formed in late 1987 in the city of Medellin, specifically in the Barrio Aranjuez, one of the sectors with more rock tradition of the city. Influenced by the sounds and DEATH THRASH METAL of the time. "The situation of violence, terror and fear that existed in those years in Medellin inspired much of our lyrics, somehow we had to get all the anxiety, fears and feelings .. and the best way of relaxing was TORMENT with its metaphors and sounds characteristic of a city in chaos ..." They recorded a demo in 1991, called Time of Agony, Time of Death with 11 songs, a cover of Hellhammer and a kreator track. 1993, 8 destructive storm had prepared for their second demo tracks to be called "Abominations". Our sound was more Deathrash and Freddy the vocalist had left the group, remaining as lead singer guitarist Mauricio; this project was never carried out only in trials being recorded on tapes. In 1997 due to labor, study and personal storm comes to an end.
